Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship 2026-27: Reliance has been providing scholarships to meritorious students for over 25 years, inspired by Reliance Founder-Chairman Shri Dhirubhai Ambani. Since 2022-2023, Reliance Foundation has been supporting 5,100 students annually, including 5,000 meritorious undergraduate students from underprivileged sections of society studying any stream of their choice through the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships, and 100 of India’s brightest postgraduate students, studying eligible subjects in select future-ready courses from Engineering, Technology, Energy & Life Sciences through the Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria of Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship 2026-27

  • Be Indian Resident
  • Eligible for first-year full-time regular postgraduate degree programs in the following streams:
    • Computer Science
    • Artificial Intelligence
    • Mathematics and Computing
    • Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Renewable and New Energy
    • Material Sciences & Engineering

  • GATE examination score requirement: 550 to 1,000
    Or 
  • Alternatively, undergraduate CGPA requirement: 7.5 or above (or % normalized to CGPA) if GATE not attempted

Documents Required for Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship 2026-27

Applicants should prepare and submit the following documents for the application process:

  • A recent passport-size photograph
  • Valid proof of permanent residential address
  • Aadhaar Card (mandatory)
  • Updated curriculum vitae (CV) or resume
  • Class 10 and Class 12 board examination marksheets
  • GATE examination scorecard/marksheet, where applicable
  • Official undergraduate degree transcript or consolidated marksheet
  • Bonafide Certificate confirming current enrolment at the college or educational institution
  • Two written statements: a Personal Statement and a Statement of Purpose (SOP)
  • Two letters of recommendation, including one from an academic referee and one character reference
  • Relevant experience certificates or letters confirming employment or internship experience, if applicable
  • Valid Disability Certificate issued by the competent Government authority, wherever applicable
  • Proof of family income issued by the Gram Panchayat, Ward Councillor, or Sarpanch, or an income certificate issued by the SDM, DM, CO, or Tehsildar

  1. Late submission: Because it’s first‑come, applicants must apply immediately—do not wait
  2. Incomplete documents: Forgetting a scan (e.g. Adhaar back or marksheet front and back) can void submission

1. How are Reliance Foundation Scholarships paid?

A. Scholarships are transferred directly into selected students’ bank accounts on a yearly basis.

2. On what basis are Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholars selected?

Selection is based on a merit-cum-means approach. A candidate’s Class 12 marks, household income, and performance in the aptitude test are considered together, rather than any single factor in isolation.

2. What is the scholarship aptitude test?

All applicants for the Reliance Foundation Postgraduate Scholarships must complete an online mandatory aptitude test as part of their application. 

The aptitude test will be a proctored, multiple-choice exam (non-adaptive). Students can take the test from anywhere online and should complete it on their own, in a quiet space, with no external support and no access to technology outside the test screen. 

Aptitude Test Dos: 

  • Take the assessment in full-screen 
  • Keep your face identifiable in the video feed at all times
  • Keep your camera and microphone on at all times 
  • Share your screen feed before attempting the test

Aptitude Test Don’ts:

  • Don’t open different windows or tabs on your browser 
  • Don’t have anyone else in the room 
  • Don’t make anyone else take your test
  • There should be no conversation or noise in the background 

Specially abled students will be able to indicate whether they need assistance to take the aptitude test and the type of assistance needed when submitting their application form. The exam proctors will be notified and will accommodate as necessary
