To qualify for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
- Indian Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian citizens.
- SC/ST Students: This scholarship is exclusively for students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
- Full-Time Undergraduate Engineering Programs: Students must be enrolled in full-time undergraduate engineering courses in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Industrial, Chemical or Instrumentation engineering disciplines. 7 nos. of the scholarships (SC- 5 nos. & ST- 2 nos.) shall -be reserved for girl students. However, in case of non availability of students in either category, students from other category may be considered.
- Academic Performance: Candidates must have scored at least 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA/CPI in their Class XII or Diploma in Engineering.
- Annual Family Income: The combined annual income of the student’s parents or guardians must not exceed ₹3,00,000.
- No Other Financial Aid: Students receiving any other form of scholarship, financial aid, or stipend from different sources are not eligible.
- Gender Inclusivity: The scholarship is open to both male and female students.
- Merit: Candidates in order of merit amongst SC & ST students, duly recommended by the Head of the institution, shall be considered .for award of EIL Schölarship. Merely meeting the criteria of conditions of award of scholarship shall not entitle a candidate for award of scholarship.
